About
Each gift box is made from reclaimed materials by a local craftsman, just north of Toronto. They are filled with a small bouquet of fresh, seasonal flowers, according to the theme of the box. Each gift will feature a legend where the recipient can easily buy more of the products. Unlike the "stuff" in traditional gift boxes, the products available at Real Goods are made by small producers with integrity and love. It is our pleasure to showcase some of Ontario's finest honeys, maple syrups, or locally roasted coffee. We also curate goods from around the world that are produced with the same principles of sustainability and quality that simply can't be produced here, such as olive oil and chocolate.
Our Story
We are a mother-daughter team that loves food, wine and high quality craftsmanship. This project grew out of our combined love of gift giving, event planning, floral design and of course, FOOD. We have been very excited to see the return of "makers" to the North American cultural landscape. This renaissance of farmers markets, local artisans, and sustainable food and clothing has given us the opportunity to re-imagine the traditional "gift basket": what if instead of a plastic basket filled with sub-par chemical-laden chocolates, stale crackers, and low grade balsamic reductions, your friend or client received a truly beautiful wooden box that they could re-use in their home for years to come? That box will be filled with only the highest quality products. And the best part? The products are not some mysterious brand never to be seen on a grocery store shelf again, but made by small producers, locally.
